The Retreat

The Retreat has three well-appointed residences: the Main Cottage, Carriage House, and Old Rustic Barn. In addition to the residences, there is a private and blooming Secret Garden, 40' Saline Pool and European Pergola covered in white wisteria. Enjoy the uninterrupted view of Volcan Mountain and all of the comforts of home you could hope for including luxury linens and endless amenities.
Old Rustic Barn
Charming and elegant, the Old Rustic Barn is available to book for vacations and is offered for accommodations with our Whole Mountain wedding package.
Enjoy the wrap-around deck with views in every direction. Indulge in barbecuing, a dip in the Jacuzzi, or lounging by the fireplace.
Main Cottage
A favorite location for families and retreat groups, our ivy-covered Main Cottage has a large Brazilian Rosewood deck, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and so many comforts of home.
Carriage House
Our ivy-covered Carriage House next to the Main Cottage has two separate levels for optimal privacy.
Enjoy the peaceful sounds of your private fountain in the courtyard or a cup of coffee in the morning on your private patio.
Private Pool
Just below our lush Secret Garden is our private 40' private pool + spa equipped with lounge furniture and barbecue grills. Our fully equipped pool house has towels, games, a refrigerator, freezer, bathroom and outdoor shower.

The Private Ranch is made up of our three unique event spaces: Sunset Plateau, Meadow, and Courtyard + Lounge. This Ranch also includes our well-appointed Meadow House. Discover the breathtaking views that each space has to offer. The Private Ranch encompasses Julian history with an ancient stone staircase, a hillside of oak trees, and Julian's oldest gold mines. We also now have our Honeymoon House.

Our expansive Courtyard is ideal for dinner, dancing, and toasts. Incorporate our complimentary tables, chairs, white linens and other accent pieces. Choose from round or rectangular tables for your setup.
Meadow
Our Ancient Stone staircase is the perfect spot for your grand entrance as newlyweds! The staircase leads you from our Courtyard to our private Meadow.
Meadow House
Our charming Meadow House is conveniently located next to all of our event spaces. Every area of this home was thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind.
Honeymoon House
The romantic Honeymoon House is tucked beneath the trees alongside the Sunset Plateau driveway. The perfect place for a sweet getaway with your significant other. Unforgettable views and beautiful interior spaces to make you feel special.
