YOUR RETREAT EXPERIENCE

Hannah Phillips
A licensed professional counselor, retreat facilitator, and certified 9D breathwork practitioner, Hannah is passionate about guiding people to heal at the root. With training in trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy and somatic practices, she blends depth, compassion, and practical tools to create safe, transformative spaces. Hannah’s work helps participants reconnect with their bodies, release old trauma patterns, and discover new ways of showing up with authenticity and choice. Her approach is experiential and deeply supportive, helping people leave with both a sense of renewal and tools they can carry into everyday life.

Kelly Jones
Author, trauma-recovery specialist, holistic healing coach, and equine behaviorist, Kelly has dedicated her life to helping people reconnect to their intuition, vitality, and joy. Certified as an equine professional through the Natural Lifemanship Institute and trained in somatic experiencing, Kelly blends science-based methods with the transformative power of horses and nature. Since 2013, she has partnered with therapists to offer thousands of hours of equine-assisted services and has been leading retreats since 2015. Her gentle, heart-centered guidance helps participants reduce trauma symptoms, cultivate mindfulness, and embody their true selves.

Tanner Phillips
An equine professional and coach with nearly two decades of experience, Tanner creates safe, grounded spaces for people to experience the profound wisdom of horses. With years of horsemanship and equine-assisted learning, he helps participants tune into relational patterns, energy, and intention. His steady presence makes the work feel both approachable and transformative.
What to Expect
The holidays are often described as the most wonderful time of the year — yet for many, they’re also the most overwhelming. Expectations, family pressures, full calendars, and financial stress can leave us drained before the season even begins. The Mindful Holiday Retreat is your chance to pause, reset, and realign before the holiday rush. Surrounded by the peaceful mountains of Julian, you’ll step into a supportive space where you can release stress, reconnect with your body, and rediscover what this season can truly mean for you.
Over four transformative days, you’ll:
Experience mindfulness practices to release holiday stress and cultivate calm.
Work with horses in trauma-informed sessions that mirror presence, authenticity, and emotional balance.
Explore somatic experiencing practices that help you tune into your body, release stored tension, and shift patterns of stress.
Tap into creativity through expressive art sessions that bring beauty and self-awareness into your holiday season.
Enjoy gentle movement, meditation, and time for reflection in nature.
Nourish your body with mindfully prepared, clean meals designed to support your nervous system.
